When is the conference?
Thursday March 23rd 2017 – Sunday March 26th 2017
Who should attend?
The Haitian Student Conference is open to any students who have an interest in the Haitian culture (i.e. Haitians, non-Haitians, professionals, graduate, and undergraduate students).
What is the conference attire?
Thursday rep your school/organization
Friday – business casual
Saturday morning Workshops – Business Attire.
Saturday night Gala – formal attire
Who are considered Professional?
Professionals are alumni, advisors and non-students
What does registration fee include?
NHSA 19th annual registration fees include the following items lodging 4 days 3 nights at the Marriott access to all workshops and master classes, panel discussions, awards gala, career graduate fair, and much more. Registration fees do not include transportation expenses.
Can I cancel my registration and get a refund?
Registration fees for the conference are NON-REFUNDABLE. We suggest finding a student to replace you any changes in your registration will result in a 100.00 fee.
Can I register for conference onsite?
NO onsite registration will be permitted by any means. Please make sure all your documentations and payments are done prior to conference online www.regonline.com/nhsaconference.
What if I want to attend part of the conference?
If you don’t anticipate on attending the whole conference, unfortunately, you still have to pay the full price. There will be no discounts of any kind, other than the ones listed in the registration fee. If you plan on attending for one or two days, please make your best efforts to register early to get the cheapest rates. The only exception is the ball, which you can buy a ticket for at the door for $30.
Is there a special rate if I’m a part of a HSO?
At this time no special rate contact your respective HSO e-board.
How much is conference?
$350 – Early bird special (ended November 25th, 2016).
$425 – Until conference.
$550 – For professionals.
Where can I pay the conference registration?
You can select a registration package or go directly to www.regonline.com/nhsaconference and follow the instructions.
What are the payment methods?
Current payment methods are check, credit or debit card. all conference payment are done online at regonline.com/nhsaconference.
Will food be provided?
Yes, breakfast will be provided Friday and Saturday. Dinner will be served on Saturday.
Is transportation included in the cost?
No, but if you need assistance, NHSA has partnered with a travel agent to provided a discount on air travel. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for inquiries.
Is the conference schedule available?
Detailed information will be posted on our website as they are confirmed. A full conference schedule will, including sessions, workshops and mater classes, will be available on our website by the end of January.
Can I invite a friend or a family?
Yes, you can invite as many people as you would like, including friends and family members.
I have already registered for conference. Can I make changes to my regsitration?
Yes, absolutely. Go to regonline.com/nhsaconference, click on “View or change Your Existing Registration” to log in to your account and make the necessary changes.
