The Conference Committee is currently taking nominations for the 19th Annual Conference. We encourage everyone to send in their nominations in a timely manner. Winners for the awards will be announced at the 2017 NHSA Awards Gala on Saturday, March 23rd, 2017 more awards will be added. Stay tuned and visit the website again for updates.
The Marie-Claire Heureuse Felicite. This award will be presented to the student who best represents those qualities of ethic and altruism, exemplified by Marie-Claire Heureuse Felicite.
President of the Year Award. This award will be presented to a current HSO President who has displayed superior leadership, organizational, and empowerment skills.
National Leadership Award. Will be awarded to the student who has demonstrated personal and professional growth as an emerging leader through his/her actions and character.
Organization of the Year. This award will be presented to the HSO that puts forth outstanding effort in all areas in relation to its purpose including contributions to the college/university, to NHSA, the community, and development of its members.
Felix Morisseau-Leroy. This award will be presented to an organization or a student who best personifies a commitment to unifying the Haitian Diapora around their heritage while promoting its value to others, much in the way Felix Morisseau-Leroy sought to reserve centuries of devaluation and upheld the dignity of culture in Haiti, Ghana and Senegal.
